Gait Analysis

Podiatrists diagnose and treat lower limb problems using biomechanical examinations (gait analysis). You will undergo an in-depth study of how your foot performs during walking or running. At Collis Podiatry we provide specialized treatments such as Ultrasound therapy and/or Orthotic therapy where we create personalized foot insoles that relieve pain, provide comfort and support to your feet.
Your podiatrist may also recommend footwear and exercise programs to alleviate the underlying pain or injury.

What can I expect from my appointment?

Your podiatrist will ask questions about your injuries and lifestyle. We will then attempt to establish an accurate diagnosis, but if necessary, we can send you for further imaging and/or blood tests.

Assessments include your foot posture and arche shape, overall body posture, how you walk (gait analysis), and/or run. Some particular clinical tests may be conducted to help determine why you are in pain. You will be leaving with a care package designed to assist you enhance your quality of life and get back on your feet.
